Kansas City signed him to a deal worth $27 million in guaranteed money over two years after the Seahawks didn’t re-sign him.

“It feels good to be appreciated and wanted somewhere,” Walker said. “I know they got high expectations, and I’m ready to carry that on my shoulders.”

Walker also talked about working under offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy:

“He was talking about everything, just everything: Detail, run game, blocking, pass game, just everything. He would just mention things that he’s going to coach me on and stuff like that.”

In Kansas City in 2026, the quarterback remains Patrick Mahomes, who is recovering from an ACL tear suffered last season.

Kenneth Walker also discussed when he knew he was leaving Seattle.

“I would say probably, if I’m being honest, probably, like, sometime during the season,” Walker said, via Mike Florio of NBC Sports’ “Pro Football Talk.”

“You know, things ain’t working out how I was expecting to, and that’s all right. It worked out for the team. So, sometime during the season, and then we get to free agency, pretty much knowing like you weren’t gonna be there no more.”

Walker rushed for over 1,000 yards in back-to-back seasons with Seattle. He finished his time there winning Super Bowl LX MVP honors.
