Travis Kelce’s stance on Taylor Swift’s dad’s “ironclad” prenup over $2,000,000,000 worth assets revealed ahead of July 13 wedding: Report

Entertainment reporter Rob Shuter, also called “Naughty But Nice Rob,” shared a report on Substack about Travis Kelce, Taylor Swift and Taylor’s dad, Scott Swift.

The report, published on Saturday, used anonymous sources, and stated that Scott, who worked as a Merrill Lynch advisor, created an “ironclad” prenuptial agreement.

The report came out before rumors about Taylor Swift and Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce possibly getting married on July 13 in New York City.

One source described Scott as a caring dad.

“Scott is the definition of a great father,” the source said. “He has spent his entire adult life protecting Taylor Swift while giving her the freedom to become the biggest star in the world.”

Another source said Scott is protective of Taylor and her business matters.

“He’s (Scott) a fist in a velvet glove,” one insider said. “Polite, charming, and incredibly warm but when it comes to protecting his daughter (Taylor) and her business interests, nobody is sharper.”

The report also said Kelce did not have a problem with the idea.

“Travis respects Scott tremendously,” the source said. “He understands that Scott helped build one of the most successful entertainment brands in history. There was never any drama and never any pushback.”

According to Celebrity Net Worth, Taylor Swift’s estimated net worth is $1.8 billion, while Travis Kelce’s is estimated at $90 million. Reportedly, Kelce’s networth reaches upto $120 million, when earnings from football, media ventures, endorsements and investments are taken into account.

“When you’re dealing with nearly $2 billion in combined assets, a prenup isn’t a sign of mistrust,” a source told Shuter. “It is smart business.”

In May, TMZ reporter Jacob Wasserman asked Sen. Tim Kaine questions about reports of Kelce and Swift’s prenup discussions and whether laws about them should be the same everywhere in the country.

Kaine said rules should only become national rules if they are very important.

Later, when Wasserman joked that thinking too much about a prenup before a wedding could be a bad sign, Kaine replied:

“If you are spending too much time thinking about the prenup before the wedding, hmm.”

When asked if Taylor and Kelce should have a prenup, Kaine did not give a direct answer.

“I think they should live in Kansas City. I just hope that is what they do,” he said.

Scott Swift and Travis Kelce also seem to get along well.

In November 2023, during Swift’s Eras Tour show in Argentina, she changed the words to her song “Karma” from “Karma is the guy on the screen” to “Karma is the guy on the Chiefs, coming straight home to me.”

Kelce looked surprised and covered his face with his hands, while Scott got excited and put his hand up for a high-five. But the Chiefs star was so shocked that he missed it.

Later, Kelce talked about the moment on his “New Heights” podcast on Nov. 17, 2023.

“Yeah, Mr. Swift — I apologize, big guy,” Kelce said. “I missed that. I never miss a high-five. I am a high-five guy. It is the most electric thing you can do at an event.”
