Jon Moxley and Bully Ray have become the talk of the town for the past few weeks. It all started after Ray made some bold comments about the former WWE Champion. Recently, a WWE veteran gave his thoughts on why Ray might have said such things about The Purveyor of Violence.
Former WWE personality Dutch Mantell talked about the ongoing controversy between Moxley and Ray in his recent podcast. What happened was that Bully claimed that he could knock out Jon Moxley in a real-life fight. Not only that, the former Tag Team Champion called Mox a fraud who uses his backstage influence to control his storylines.
Speaking on Story Time with Dutch Mantell, the 76-year-old said that Bully Ray is making such comments only to get the spotlight in the world of professional wrestling. Mantell believes that Ray will accept that it was all a work in a few days after things get out of hand. Besides, the former WWE personality highlighted that many names have done such kind of work in the wrestling industry’s history.
“But see, Bubba’s treating this like just a wrestling interview. He’s getting his name out there and he’s getting the angle going with Moxley. That is not an angle. It’s just somebody for fans to talk about. But Bubba is playing everybody against themselves and knows exactly what he’s doing, but finds it funny because a lot of guys used to do that. And that’s why I think that’s what Bubba’s doing,” said Mantell.

Jon Moxley revealed who he would like to book himself against
Jon Moxley is one of the most popular wrestling names of the past decade. Many fans fantasy book him in high-stakes matches against stars like Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, and Cody Rhodes. But recently, The Purveyor of Violence himself revealed who he would like to put himself against in a dream match scenario.
Speaking on the Sporsinnati podcast, Moxley said that his little version would love to put him against Bret Hart. The former WWE star added that he would have been a fit for the 80s style of wrestling in companies such as ECW.
“I’ve been asked that question like a million times, the little kid version of me would say Bret Hart. That would have been a good thing. I look at it like where would I have thrived in more so than like this particular match? Like what place in time would I have really like thrived in? 80s and Mid-South or the 90s and ECW I think I would have thrived in all those areas, right?” Mox said. [H/T: Fightful]
While Jon Moxley will never get the chance to square off with Bret Hart. Nonetheless, it will be interesting to see if Moxley will be able to get his other dream matches in the world of professional wrestling.
