Women’s Super League: Five fixtures live on Sky Sports including Grand Final and St Helens vs Wigan Warriors derby | Rugby League News

Sky Sports’ live coverage of the Women’s Super League has been confirmed, with a blockbuster Grand Final rematch between St Helens and Wigan Warriors launching a run of five live fixtures during the second half of the 2026 season.

St Helens will host reigning champions Wigan Warriors on Thursday August 6 (KO 5.15pm) in the first of three Super Four fixtures to be shown live, before Sky Sports also broadcasts the semi-final and Grand Final in September.

The Warriors completed their first treble in the women’s game last October, coming from behind to beat Saints 16-12 at the Brick Community Stadium in front of a record crowd. They remain the only unbeaten team in the competition in 2026.

Saints will return to Sky Sports on Friday 28 August when they host York Valkyrie (KO 5.15pm). The fixture renews another recent rivalry, after Saints edged York 12-8 in last year’s play-off semi-final.

The final Super Four fixture selected for live coverage will see Leeds Rhinos host reigning champions Wigan Warriors at AMT Headingley on Saturday September 5 (KO 5.15pm).

The 2026 season features a split-season format, with teams first facing each other once – home or away – in a single round of fixtures.

Following the regular season, the competition will split into the top four and bottom four, with teams playing each other home and away in an extended play-off series from Thursday August 6.

The winners of the extended play-offs will be crowned League Leaders and secure a place in the Betfred Women’s Super League Grand Final on Sunday September 27.

The teams finishing second and third will meet in the semi-final on Friday September 18 for the remaining Grand Final place, with both matches shown live on Sky Sports.
