CF Montreal welcome the New England Revolution to Saputo Stadium on Saturday in another round of Major League Soccer action. The two clubs have returned to action after the World Cup break to contrasting fortunes but will both enter the weekend with the same objective: collecting maximum points.

Le CFM played out a goalless draw with Toronto FC in their first game after the restart but have since followed that up with 1-0 defeats to Nashville SC and, most recently, Inter Miami, on both occasions after conceding a penalty midway through the second half.
With the first half of the regular season now gone, Philippe Eullaffroy’s men find themselves 13th in the table and will need significant improvements across the board if they are to secure a return to postseason football.
New England Revolution’s return to action also saw them share the spoils with Toronto in a goalless stalemate. However, their response has been far more assured, with the Revs putting four past Atlanta United in a 4-1 victory at Gillette Stadium over the weekend.
Four different players got on the scoresheet for New England, including 21-year-old Brooklyn Raines, who netted his maiden MLS goal.
That result ended a run of back-to-back winless outings for Marko Mitrovic’s men, who will now be aiming to kick on from that result on Saturday.
